I'm being quite sincere, you know. I believe, very firmly, that leadership and direction is required. If I believed myself capable and well-positioned for it, I would surely attempt it, but unfortunately, my own skills... At any rate, I simply think you're going about it the wrong way. You're not running for election here, you don't have to announce your candidacy and ask everyone to agree to it.
In an uncertain situation, a leader is merely the person bold enough to seize the spotlight. The one unafraid to guide discussion. The one unafraid to propose strategy. Calling yourself the leader without showing your skill at this is certainly bound to end in disaster.
Yes, I think it might be. I wasn't particularly thrilled with your plans either, but...
Why not try it during the trials? We have it easy today, Edea Lee is almost certain to be executed. But the person who might propose suspicious people for investigation, or simply to be wary of...
Yes, the trial is what I was thinking of. Wait until the group is already spurned into action, then guide them in the right direction. If you can't lead from the front, lead from the rear.
Understand that I can't share all my thoughts in this area until I am certain you are not a VIP.
That being said, thinking in terms of who is a VIP is quite difficult. Until we have more information, I'm more inclined to try and identify people who I am confident are not VIPs, and work backwards from there.
Of course. Though I wonder, if you think that way, what you intend to do tomorrow, if the dog doesn't get another favorable result. Or are you content to rely entirely on a pomeranian's instincts?
Would you be amenable to it if I were to share my own thoughts?
Is this conversation before or after the detonation?
I would primarily suspect anyone who has been too quiet, or too unhelpful. Going through a list and seeing whose faces stand out would not go amiss. Which ones would you expect to be doing more than they are? Which ones seem to derail the discussion? Do these actions feel in character, based on what we know?
Secondarily, I would question the motives behind the choice of Dipper and Mahiru. It didn't seem like an obvious pick to me. However, Mahiru was working with Miss Shameimaru on her newspaper, and Dipper was heavily involved in investigating the crime scenes. Either of these could have been the source of the threat.
Finally, I would be concerned about the situation with Levi yesterday. Wasn't it a little inconvenient the dog stayed misinterpreted until after Levi's death? Wouldn't it have been all to easy to deliberately waste the afternoon and put off Missile's reveal? After all, if we'd known Edea was guilty yesterday, I certainly would have elected to vote for her instead of Levi. And it's not as though the dog could reveal anything.

Yes... I've been acting as if my usual abilities and rank still meant something. A different situation calls for different strategies.
Perhaps it's a simple matter of timing...

What direction would you guide them in?

But yes, I am curious. If our thinking is similar, we might be able to work together to propose ideas.

it can be after!

That would be my line of analysis.
Sounds good to me
The most unfortunate point about all of this is that our greatest enemy is one we have next to no way to identify: The detonator.
